Description
Korea. May 1953. Members of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), who have been carrying out a strenuous period of training a few miles behind the front have completely integrated with the Korean Augmentation Troops, Commonwealth (KATCOMs) attached to them. These KATCOMs, of whom there are about 100 in the battalion, have quickly adapted themselves to the Australians' methods and weapons. Here Corporal Ray Webb of Albany, WA (left), looks on as Private Kim Jin Tai of Seoul, Korea, gets a lesson on the Vickers .303 medium machine gun from Private Norm McLeod of Prospect, SA.
