India (?). c. 1902. Group portrait of the 9th Queen's Royal Lancers after returning from South Africa. This is probably the polo team with their trophies. Included in the photograph is Harry George Ayres (back row, far right) who was later awarded a Military Medal and on 27 July 1918 a Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) while a member of the 4th Light Horse Regiment.
