Free entry, book your ticket. 

Free ticketing is in place to comply with building code capacity limits, due to construction of the Memorial’s Development Project. We thank you for your understanding.

Entry to the Australian War Memorial galleries and Last Post Ceremony is free. There are no booking or cancellation fees associated with ticketing, and the Memorial will not ask for credit card or payment details.

Galleries: 10 am to 4 pm daily
(closed Christmas Day)

Last Post Ceremony: Entry at 4:00 pm, Ceremony commences at 4:30 pm (last admittance at 4:40 pm).

Galleries and Commemorative Area ticket

Two hour ticket

Includes access to Aircraft Hall, Hall of Valour, First World War Galleries, Second World War Galleries and the Commemorative Area (includes the Hall of Memory, Roll of Honour, Pool of Reflection and Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier). Please note, 'G for George' is currently not on display in the galleries.

Ceremony commences at 4:30 pm

Includes attendance at the daily Last Post Ceremony, held in the Commemorative Area.

From 1 January 2024, the daily Last Post Ceremony will begin at 4.30 pm.
