As a result of the latest national health advice, the Australian War Memorial is closed to the public from Tuesday, 24 March 2020 until further notice. The health and safety of our visitors, veteran community, staff and volunteers remains top priority for the Memorial.

At this stage, no firm date for reopening the Memorial in 2020 has been determined. Upon reopening, it is likely that Government health guidelines around safe distancing and hygiene practices will still apply. This may limit the capacity for visitors to the Memorial each day, including school students. Please be aware that this may also limit the availability of entry times that can be booked for school visits. As a result, current reservations are not being modified or processed until further notice. At this stage, we are unable to provide a date when availability for Terms 2, 3 and 4 of 2021 will be released, but will continue to monitor and respond to the advice from Government.

Updated information will be posted on our website when available. For general enquiries regarding school bookings, please contact
