Escorted ship, Persian Gulf
Description
An RAN ship escorting a smugglers' ship. Peter Churcher recalled, "This was painted the morning the Kanimbla took over control of a smuggling ship that had been brought up from the Gulf of Oman. In the background is a Royal Navy ship escorting the smuggling ship over to the Kanimbla. The small vessel between the two large ships is the boarding party from the Kanimbla returning to the ship after an initial inspection of the smuggling vessel".
