Description

As Australian infantry advance north-west from the Labuan airstrip they shelter from Japanese sniper fire behind wrecked trucks. The soldiers are advancing (or sheltering) behind an Australian Matilda tank. The commander's hatch is open. Wrecked Japanese transport is facing the camera. The truck on the left is a Japanese military issue truck - the other vehicles appear to be civilian transport (captured vehicles) impressed into service.
