Keijo, Korea. 1945. Climax of the surrender ceremony in Government House building in Keijo, which ended forty years of Japanese domination of the country, was the hauling down of the Japanese flag outside the building. Here the flag is shown flying for the last time in the grounds of Government House. The Stars and Stripes went up to the accompaniment of much cheering and clapping from Koreans outside the wall.
