El Aqqaqir, Libya. 1942-11. An abandoned German Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf H medium tank armed with a 50mm L/42 gun. This tank had burnt out and the heat generated caused a propellant charge in the gun to expand forcing the projectile in the chamber up the barrel to within three inches of the muzzle.
