Captain J.A. Collins, CB, aboard the cruiser Shropshire calling for three cheers for His Majesty King George VI. Captain Collins, RAN, was taking command of the ship during the ceremony of transfer from the British Navy to the Australian Navy. The British Government had offered Shropshire as a replacement for HMAS Canberra which had been lost in action.
