Description
A Short Sunderland flying boat, registered RB-A N9048, exits Plymouth Sound on patrol from RAF Station Mount Batten. Rame Head and Whitsand Beach (Cornwall) can be seen in the distance. This particular aircraft was flown by No. 10 Squadron, RAAF, operating with the Coastal Command. It was destroyed in its hangar by a German air raid on Mount Batten on the night of 27/28 November 1940.
