Description
Taken from the roof of the Chugoku Shimbun daily newspaper building, one of very few buildings which survived the atomic blast, showing rebuilding in progress on the west side of the building, one year after the bomb was dropped. The Harimayacho district of Hiroshima where the newspaper building is situated is 450 metres from the hypocentre of the bomb blast.
