Description
Goodenough Island, New Guinea. November 1942. Native crew members of the schooner MacLaren King, the ferry operating between the island and the New Guinea mainland. Behind the crew is the 50 calibre water-cooled Browning anti-aircraft machine gun with which Australian Army gunners shot down a Japanese attacking aircraft.
