Darwin, NT. 23 September 1999. Three men squatting underneath a banner commissioned by the Vietnam Veteran's Association outside the Air Movements Section at RAAF Base Darwin after farewelling troops who are leaving to join the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). The banner reads "Waltz-A-Matilda to all diggers `Gods return'". Left to right: unidentified member of the Vietnam Veteran's Association, an unidentified member of RAAF Security Police, and John Shepperd, a member of the Vietnam Veteran's Association.
