Description
The MV Krait (originally known as the Kofuku Maru) was a Chinese built trawler which was commandeered during 1942, and operated by the Services Reconnaissance Department and Royal Australian Navy. The vessel was used for rescue and clandestine operations during the Second World War. Z Special Unit is known to have used the vessel for Operation Jaywick, a series of successful sabotage attempts in Japanese-occupied waters near Singapore.
