Description
Port quarter view of the cruiser USS St Louis (CL-49). Note the twin 5 inch/38 guns in Mark 32 mountings, which distinguish her and her sister ship, USS Helena, from the similar Brooklyn class cruisers. Mark 3 fire control radar is fitted to her main armament directors and Mark 4 to her Mark 33 secondary armament directors. SC1 air search radar is carried atop the foremast.
