DIARIES COVERING SERVICE IN EGYPT, GALLIPOLI AND FRANCE AND LEAVE PARTIES TO CAIRO, PARIS AND LONDON. REGULAR ENTRIES COVERING SERVICE FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE FRONT LINE SOLDIER. EXPLANATORY LETTER WRITTEN BY MCPHEE AT THE TIME OF DONATING DIARIES (1964). McPhee was awarded a Military Medal for gallantry and devotion to duty in action near Ypres in September 1917.
