Description

View of Talbot House, which was used as the headquarters by the 'Toc H' movement. Toc H, a world wide charity in the tradition of Talbot House which was founded in 1915 by army chaplains Philip Clayton and Neville Talbot in Poperinge, Belgium. Toc, the signallers `T' combined with `H' stood for Talbot House, an 'alternative place of wholesome recreation'. It was named for Gilbert Talbot, Neville's brother, who was killed in July 1915.
