Munitions Supply Transport Driver, Miss Ruth Fowler
Description
Portrait of Miss Ruth Fowler, a Munitions Supply Transport Driver attached to the Commonwealth Explosives Factory, Maribynong. Miss Fowler is portrayed wearing her full driver's uniform, and a vehicle is visible amongst buildings in the background. When the artist, Sybil Craig, was searching for a suitable driver for the portrait, Miss Fowler was suggested as she had been with the factory since the outset.
