Christmas party in the sergeants' mess
Description
Dargie noted of this work, "The squadron has been stood down from operations, there is Australian, possibly No 159 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force, and Canadians enjoying a Christmas party, with beer to be had, and the boys who are not teetotalers, let themselves go". This drawing was reproduced in 1946 in the Australian War Memorial publication, "Victory Roll - The RAAF in it's 6th year of war", page 40, with the title of "Christmas Celebration".
