Monitress of Fuze Section (Miss Beatrice Munns)
Description
Portrait, in left profile, of Miss Beatrice M Munns, a monitor in the Fuze Filling Section of the Commonwealth Explosives Factory, Maribyrnong, Victoria. Was appointed assistant monitress, 1941 and monitress 1944. As an important member of the Personnel department she helped maintain the morals, welfare and discipline of the hundreds of women workers in the section.
