Dargie noted,"The hour of suspense, when everyone is on the alert, for it is at sunset and dawn that submarines may strike. Painted during the voyage to Australia of HMT "Felix Roussel" a Free French ship which in company of the US ship "Holbrook" and the Australian ship "Duntroon" bought back from the Middle East, Australian troops and nurses.
