Stretcher case reaching A.D.S
Description
On several occasions the wounded had to be brought by natives from the forward companies, from beyond Yaula to Saipa. The journey took about 14 hours. The carriers would be changed at Yaula, thus keeping the wounded men moving without any delay. A soldier with an Owen gun turns to watch a stretcher case being carried into the Advance Dressing Station at Saipa by natives, Saipa, New Guinea.
