V.D.C.hauling gun into position
Description
This sketch depicts one of the activities for the Volunteer Defence Corps in the danger period, before Australia's defences were properly organised against a Japanese attack on the northern mainland. If the anticipated attack had come at this time, the major portion of the task of defending the north would have fallen to the Volunteer Defence Corps, Queensland 1943.
