Transport column
Description
Army transport in the desert. One of the transport columns was several miles long. "One is hardly visible because of a sandstorm. Transport often had to contend with big sand-drifts which made passage temporarily impossible in the deserts. Tar barrels, empty, may be seen beside the paved thoroughfare".
