War Map
Description
Recruiting poster produced by the Queensland Recruiting Committee. Describes the various victories and defeats of both the Allies and the Germans in numerous battles, the size of the participating armies, and the populations of the warring nations of Europe. The main map is a detailed depiction of Europe, with the word 'GRATIS' stamped in red ink across Germany. Smaller maps of Australiasia and the Pacific islands [positioned in the upper right corner] and the Far East [positioned in the lower right corner] are included so that the global nature of the war is represented.
