Description

The head of the gully on the south side of which the 1st Australian Divisional Headquarters was located. On the left is the steep slope leading up to Plugge's Plateau, near the top of which was the camp of the 7th Indian Mountain Artillery Brigade Headquarters. Numerous dugouts are visible in the left foreground; on the right some mules are picketed.
