Description
Portrait of Major (Maj) Henry Simpson Newland, Australian Army Medical Corps (AAMC), at No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital. Later reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Maj Newland was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in 1918 and was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1919.
