Description
A German A7V tank and its crew. (Copied from a photograph, taken from a German officer at Harbonnieres, August 1918.) Crew members of A7V tank ‘Baden I’ pose with their musical instruments. The signs read : ‘Tank 505 orchestra’ and ‘Today – First Class Artist Concert – Entry Free’. The A7V tank behind has been loaded onto a railway wagon and draped with camouflage netting. The cupola on top of the tank has been folded down so that the tank fits within the railway loading height restrictions.
