Description
The Place de la Republique [Republic Square]. On the left may be seen the ex-Kaiser's palace, used by him as a residence when visiting Strasburg. He often spent holidays here, occupying his time in hunting and shooting in the neighbouring forests. The captured aeroplane and gun in the foreground replace a statue of the ex Emperor.
