Description
Studio portrait of 3081 Private (Pte) John William Brewitt, 10th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Sassafras, Vic (originally of Nottinghamshire, England). Pte Brewitt enlisted on 8 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was killed in action on 20 September 1917 in France.
