Description
Studio portrait of 3848 Private (Pte) Edward James Holden, 9th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of West Geelong, Vic. Pte Holden enlisted on 20 September 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Warilda on 8 January 1916. He died of wounds on 3 August 1916 in France and is buried at Puchevillers British Cemetery.
