Description
Collection relating to Brigadier Richard Michael Brydges, Royal Corps of Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME), Second World War. Brydges, who serviced with Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) was posted to Australian in 1943 to assist in the establishment of Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME). Collection consists of papers related to his appointment to and service with the RAEME and correspondence with the Australian Institute of Engineers. Also included in the collection is a hand made souvenir "medal" presented to Brydges by his colleagues at Ingleburn Army base to commemorate his service with RAEME.
