Kabul. A street scene looking along one of Kabul's main streets. An Afghan woman wearing the traditional burka in the foreground walks beside a crude drain on the side of the road. The sign on the lamp post, peppered with holes, and the lamp posts in front of the ruined buildings down the street bear witness to the ferocity and amount of fighting inflicted on this city. The scene of destruction is repeated throughout Afghanistan.
