Description
Studio portrait of 3085 Private (Pte) George Ernest Henning, 10th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion, of Cunninghame, Vic. Pte Henning enlisted on 13 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. Whilst serving with the 59th Battalion at Armentieres, France, he was wounded and died on 16 August 1916.
