Description
Studio portrait of 1190 Private (Pte) Matthew Matthews, D Company, 29th Battalion, of Horsham, Vic. Pte Matthews enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ascanius on 10 November 1915. He later served as a corporal and was killed in action on 29 July 1918 at Morlancourt, France. See also DA10886.
