Description
Studio portrait of 3171 Private (Pte) John Richard Miles, 10th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion, of Minimay, Vic, aged 35. Pte Miles enlisted on 15 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Port Lincoln on 16 October 1915. He was later promoted to corporal and was killed in action on 1 October 1917 in Belgium, whilst serving with the 46th Battalion.
