Description

Shell Green, showing No 1 and No 2 Cemeteries, after the crosses had been erected by the Graves Registration Unit. No 1 Cemetery is in the foreground. Looking north, Suvla Bay is seen in the distance. One of a series of photographs taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of the Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919.
