Description

Horse Transport wagons of the 3rd Australian Field Ambulance on a wharf at Alexandria, where they were employed to transport sick and wounded from hospial ships to various hospitals. The three drivers from left to right are Sam Weller of Brisbane, who later served with the 9th Battalion, Alf Farr of Western Australia, later served with the 13th Field Ambulance and Lachlan Albert Denbigh of Tasmania, later DCM and served with 4th Division Artillery.
