Description
A group portrait of unidentified officers of the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) during an instructional course taken outside the vehicle shed at Duntroon. Two of the men in the front row seated first left and eighth from left are holding periscopes. The officers seated in the front row, third and fourth from left each have a hand on a gas cylinder and the officer seated sixth from left has a portable flame thrower in front of him. On the ground (centre) in front of the men are two periscopic rifles, flare pistols and a variety of hand grenades.
