Hope for all mankind in war and peace
Description
Australian Red Cross Society Second World War poster designed by Edith Grieve illustrating the work of the Red Cross: support for servicemen, families, etc. Text and image are integrated. In the foreground is a family (mother, father, daughter and baby) standing together amidst the destruction of war. Behind this group is a large Red Cross emblem from which light shines down onto the family group. It is a symbol of hope.
