Letters written to Reginald and Margaret Anderson of Bankstown, Sydney from friends and a cousin who were service personnel during Second World War. The Andersons owned a milkbar in Bankstown. Their correspondents, Private Michael Nicey of 2/11 Australian General Hospital, Sergeant Richard Brennan of 2/13 Battalion and 'Dave' from the HMAS Hobart, were former customers or co-workers. Corporal Keith Porter of 2/2 Motor Ambulance Convoy was a cousin of Mr Anderson. Mr and Mrs Anderson are thanked for food parcels and for good works they performed to support the war on the home front. Included are letters from two unknown Indonesian members of the Royal Netherlands Navy in which is extended heartfelt thanks to the Andersons for their hospitality to them while they were on leave in Sydney.
