ANZAC commemorative badge : Miss H Menzies
Description
Bronze badge fitted with pin fastening on reverse. In the centre of the badge is a white enamelled shield containing a kangaroo and the southern cross picked out in gold. Flanking either side of the shield are two silver ferns in bronze. Above the shield is a blue enamelled scroll with the acronym 'ANZAC' surmounted by a red and gold enamelled king's crown.
History / Summary
Collected by schoolgirl Heather Menzies, the daughter of Robert Menzies. Menzies was Prime Minister during the war years 1939-1941.
