Studio portrait of 1621 Sergeant James Joseph Fisher, Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force, of Sunshine, Vic. A sheet-metal worker prior to enlisting on 30 September 1918 he embarked from Sydney aboard SS Melusia on 18 December 1918. He died on 28 June 1919 at Caulfield Hospital, aged 36 years. He was one of eight soldier brothers, who were the sons of Mr John Fisher.
