Units of the French Foreign Legion drawn up on parade in a hollow square to mark the annual celebration of the famous victory of the Legion at the Battle of Camerone (Mexico) in 1863. It is claimed that in this engagement, sixty Legionnaires fought and defeated an enemy force of 3000.
