An artist's impression of one of the German long range guns, the 'Paris Gun' in its position in the Saint Gobain Woods near Laon in France. The Germans fired 367 shells from long range guns, in four bombardments at distances up to 80 miles, into the heart and suburbs of Paris between March and August, 1918.
