Post early and don't miss the noon post
Description
This British poster depicts an elephant rushing with his tail in a knot. The letter is in his trunk, and also has a clock tied to it. The text reads 'post early and dont miss the noon post'. During the Second World War the postal service was heavily governed to save resources and monitor security. Posting before lunch, before the post was collected, contributed towards efficiency of the postal service.
