Description
Studio portrait of 1683 Private (Pte) William Johnson, 54th Battalion, of Warren, NSW (originally of Wilby, Suffolk, England). A station hand prior to his enlistment on 15 November 1915, he embarked on HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 14 April 1916. Pte Johnson was killed in action on 11 July 1918, age 30.
