Description
Studio portrait probably of 2024 Private (Pte) Samuel Wilson, 3rd Reinforcements, 24th Battalion, of Kensington, Vic, aged 28. Pte Wilson enlisted on 18 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Anchises on 26 August 1915. He was killed in action on 22 August 1916 in Villers-Bretonneux, France.
