Group portrait of two officers from 248 Squadron RAF. Both were killed in action on 12 March 1945 when their aircraft reportedly caught fire and crashed into the North Sea after a raid in Norway. The two men are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, United Kingdom. Identified left to right: 414587 Warrant Officer Raymond William Moffat (pilot) from Rockhampton, Qld; 422360 Flying Officer Bruce Andrew Stanley Abbott (navigator) from Homebush West, NSW.
