Collection relating to photographer David Dare Parker, appointed by the Australian War Memorial as Official Photographer of Operation Falconer: a Government commitment of Australian Defence Force (ADF) participating in the War in Iraq in 2003.
The collection includes memorabilia collected by Parker while deployed alongside the ADF in Iraq, the Persian Gulf and other Middle Eastern locations for a period of six weeks during April and May 2003. Memorabilia includes: two ration cards used by Parker at the Oasis, Doha, Qatar, respectively dated 17 April 2003 and 1 May; four circular tokens redeemable at Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) stores, three of the tokens are worth US 25 cents and the remaining is US 5 cents; two rectangular stickers captioned ‘HMAS ANZAC' and featuring an illustration of the ship; and one small irregular shaped sticker featuring a coat of arms captioned ‘ANZAC UNITED WE STAND’.
